Tesla to Take Its Biggest Step Toward Fully Autonomous Cars Tomorrow

Elon Musk tweeted today that can facilitate Teslas for most superior autopilot functions. The HW2 software will be fully operative in 1,000 cars and also run in “shadow mode” while data can be collected constantly.

Elon Musk tweet:

“New rev for Autopilot HW2 rolling out Mon to first 1000 & to rest of fleet in shadow mode. Also improves HW1 and enables Ludicrous+.If all looks good, HW2 Autopilot functionality will switch from shadow to active mode by end of week for cars beyond initial 1000”

All Tesla models trade since October 2016 with the HW2 autopilot ability but owners will wait for the software that was fully operative.

The company will be planned to launch all review models and constantly running all but 1,000 care are in shadow mode. This will help the technician to test what the car will be performed if the autopilot is activated. Musk tells that if analyzation is better, the rest of the fleet will be rearranged on the end of the next week.

HW2 models develop with superior radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors. Musk also tweeted that the update will make efficient HW1 models and that Ludicrous+ mode will be enabled. As from the Electrek, the Tesla P100D will be able to go from 0-60 in 2.4 seconds will be more effective acceleration.
